2012 Never Knows

I will rarely ever post something as popular © as The Beatles but it randomly happens to be the first thing I heard just after midnight on New Years... Flying!  And I am ready to be Flying in 2012 because Tomorrow Never Knows and the Future is Within You, Without You!  Somehow I feel these are great lost psychedelic tracks from the mega famous Beatles.  Flying is from Magical Mystery Tour and the other two are from The Beatles Anthology 2 & 3ENJOY!!

Beatles - Flying (Magical Mystery Tour)
Beatles - Tomorrow Never Knows (Alternate)
Beatles - Within You, Without You (Instrumental)

Evening SoundzZz v. Hypermagic

It's music like this that has made 'Gaze' a genre. I'm still not completely sure what that means but be careful, these sounds are melodically hypnotic, especially if you're driving a long distance. You don't even have to close your eyes for your mind to find the horizon. Download their new North Dorm EP for Free HeRe.

Evenings - Goodbye Forever

Another excellent 'Shoegaze' group.. in a similar vein. Also download their San Fairy Ann EP for Free HeRe.

Secret Geographies

This band has impressed me for some time now. I first heard the track Sleepers in 2009 and it became a a dreamy theme song for some happy travels in Europe that summer and it never wanted to leave the playlist. After hearing more soul soothing geographies, I'm convinced these guys are tuning into something good.  Norse Horse, not a strange looking individual who imitates both a horse and a scandinavian but some rather talented musicians out of California.

Give a listen...

Guilty Pleasure v.0.27 - BMX Bandits Credits

I listen to way too much music to not utilize this blogspot. I created for purposes of sharing what I hear with others so here it goes- my first post.

Guilty Pleasure v.0.27 - BMX (Ready to Fly) by the Papers.  It's the closing credit sequence music from the film BMX Bandits (1983). Not the 80's spin off band- the BMX Bandits (like Save Ferris) but rather the 80's Australian film from which they stole their name.  It's awesome.  If you liked Rad (1986) watch BMX Bandits.  Nicole Kidman's first film so she's not famous yet.  I don't know anything about the band, The Papers.  I think this was a one hit wonder made specifically for the film.  If it even was a hit. It should be. Hopefully at least in Australia. This song caught my attention as a kid.  I rediscovered it at 27 and heard a similar pop nostalgic goodness in it.  Kinda like what you get when you hear an old, familiar Flock of Seagulls or Pet Shop Boys song you've forgotten on the radio.

I can't explain why I like it but I do. Thank you John Nash and Chris Eggleton! Here's the song with some highlights from the film. Enjoy!
